The 25th Meeting of ASEAN, China, Japan and Republic of Korea Tourism Ministers (25th M-ATM Plus Three) was convened on 30 January 2026, in Cebu, the Philippines. The Meeting was chaired by H.E. Christina Garcia Frasco, Secretary of Tourism of the Philippines, and co-chaired by H.E. Nagai Manabu, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Japan. The Meeting was preceded by the 48th Meeting of the ASEAN Plus Three National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) on 27 January 2026, which laid the groundwork for constructive discussions.
The Meeting noted that the ASEAN Plus Three region continued to show positive recovery momentum. Preliminary figures indicate that the region recorded approximately 226 million international visitor arrivals in 2025, reflecting sustained recovery supported by enhanced connectivity, diversified tourism offerings, and strengthened promotional activities. The Meeting expressed cautious optimism for continued growth in the coming years.
