The ASEAN Heads of Civil Service have convened a virtual meeting to discuss progress and achievements of their cooperation from 2016-2020. At the meeting, they shared experiences and exchanged views on measures to promote agility and resilience of civil service and high-quality public services for the people amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The ASEAN Plus Three Heads of Civil Service underlined the importance of enhancing capabilities to respond to the pandemic and close cooperation towards post-pandemic recovery.
The meeting adopted the ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters (ACCSM) Work Plan 2021-2025. The meeting also witnessed the handover of ACCSM Chairmanship from Thailand to Vietnam for the period of 2021-2022.
