Socio-cultural Cooperations: Social Welfare and Development

In the area of social welfare and development, the APT continues to exchange views and experiences at the annual Senior Officials Meeting on Social Welfare and Development Plus Three (SOMSWD+3) and at the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting for Social Welfare and Development Plus Three (AMMSWD+3), which is held once every three years. The 7th AMMSWD+3 Meeting held on 25 May 2023, via videoconference with the them "Accelerating the Implementation of ASEAN’s Commitments for Gender Equality through Gender Mainstreaming and Social Inclusion". The Meeting reaffirmed the APT commitment to promoting gender equality through gender mainstreaming and social inclusion in the ASEAN region.
