The Singapore Police Force (SPF), with the support of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of Singapore, organised the 6th ASEAN Plus Three Cybercrime Conference (APTCC) with the theme of “Fighting Cybercrime Together – a Transnational Effort” focusing on sharing of knowledge and practices among law enforcement and the private sector on initiatives to support cyber investigations, in 8-9 November 2023 via videoconference.
The sixth iteration of the APTCC continued to serve as a capacity building platform for sharing of information, including on lessons learned from on-going cybercrime investigation cases that were confidential in nature. This Conference offered an opportunity for the participants to obtain technical knowledge on new and emerging cyber trends, such as but not limited to, cryptocurrency, bitcoins, blockchain analysis and AI, and their impacts to law enforcement efforts in responding to cybercrime as well as their nexus to other areas of transnational crime, such as money laundering and illicit drug trafficking.
